SKYLR - Devil

Originally hailing from Iowa City, Iowa, Chicago-based singer/songwriter Schuyler Miller, otherwise known as SKYLR is quickly gaining some well-deserved attention throughout the blogophere right now, and in less than 24 hours of having unveiled her immensely powerful and emotionally captivating debut offering entitled "Devil". The track was produced by Zak "Fox" Jablow, aka Professor Fox of local Chicago production duo Fox & The Mule and serves as the first single taken from her forthcoming debut EP. Unfortunately, a release date for her EP has yet to be confirmed, however, you can visit SKYLR's website for updates as well as other info that might be of use in the future as she is definitely showing signs of having a very promising musical career as a solo artist ahead of her.

In regards to the single SKYLR explains; "My first single, 'Devil', is one that is very special to me – one that started as a two page poem and a simple chord progression on piano. I was inspired to write 'Devil' after finishing Erik Larson's novel, Devil in the White City. I found a lot of unexpected parallels to my own life and relationships in his writing. The song is about a girl who feels inescapably connected to a man that feels nothing for her in return. A mad love story. While she knows that her love for him will be the death of her, she’s still not willing to let it go. But it’s more than just a twisted tale of love, it’s about the never-ending battle within all of us between good and evil."
